Rebates and incentives

Let us work out what you are eligible for.

Federal and State incentives can take a significant amount off the cost of an installation, but eligibility depends on the details. Send us yours and we will tell you where you stand.

Why we need to ask a few questions

Rebate programmes differ by system type, system size, property type, location and installation date. Two sites down the road from each other can qualify for different amounts, and some programmes close or change without much warning.

Rather than quote you a headline figure that may not apply, we would rather understand your situation properly first. Fill in the form and we will organise for one of our specialists to talk it through with you.

What helps us assess it
What you are looking at installing: solar, battery, EV charging or a combination
Rough system size, or the load you are trying to cover
Whether the property is commercial or residential, and whether you own it
Where the site is, down to the suburb
When you would like the work done
Anything already installed on site, and your current supply arrangement

If you do not know some of these yet, send what you have. We can work the rest out on the call.

How it works

What decides eligibility

Schemes change. The factors that decide whether you qualify tend not to.

Who owns the site

Owner-occupier, landlord, tenant, strata or business entity. Several schemes are limited to one of these, and some need the owner’s consent even where a tenant applies.

Residential or commercial

The two are assessed under different programs with different caps, and a mixed-use site can fall either side of the line.

System size

Most incentives scale with capacity, and several have a threshold above or below which a different scheme applies.

Equipment and installer

Claims generally require approved equipment installed by an accredited installer. We hold that accreditation, so this is handled as part of the job.

Timing

Eligibility is assessed at the time of the claim, and some programs must be applied for before work starts. This is the most common way people miss out.

Existing equipment

A previous claim on the same address, or existing solar you are adding to, can change what is available.

Do you claim it for us, or do we?

Where a scheme allows it, we prepare and lodge the claim as part of the job and the amount comes off your price. Where it has to be in your name, we give you the documentation you need and tell you what to do with it.

Is the amount guaranteed?

No. Amounts, criteria and closing dates are set by the scheme administrator, not by us, and they can change. Anything we quote as an incentive is an estimate until the claim is assessed, and we show it separately from our own price so you can see both.

What if we are not eligible for anything?

We will say so, and quote the job on its own numbers. Plenty of installations pay for themselves on the electricity saving alone, and we would rather tell you that than build a case on a rebate you cannot get.
