Solar & battery for pubs, clubs, hotels and venues

Kitchens, cool rooms, gaming floors and air conditioning make hospitality one of the most energy-intensive uses per square metre in the country. The load runs long and hard, which means an array is used rather than exported, and a battery carries you into the trading night.

01 · What is in it for you

A margin protected against the next price rise

01

Energy is your third-biggest cost

After wages and cost of goods, power is the line most exposed to price shocks. Generating a large share of it on site fixes that portion for the life of the asset and takes the volatility out of the P&L.

02

Cool rooms and kitchens never stop

Refrigeration, extraction and prep run all day, every day. That constant base load absorbs generation, which is why hospitality self-consumption figures are among the best we model.

03

A battery covers the trading night

Your busiest hours are after sunset and inside the peak tariff window. Storing cheap midday generation and discharging it through evening service is where the second half of the saving comes from.

03 · Scope of works

One contractor, whole job

Venues cannot close. Works are staged around service, with switching done in the early hours and no interruption to refrigeration.

05 · Common questions

Answers before you enquire

Anything else, send us an enquiry or call Tim on 0409 986 882.

Will installation interrupt trade?

No. Roof works are separate from the venue and the only outage is the switchboard tie-in, which we do between close and open with temporary supply for refrigeration.

Our roof is heritage or tile. Is that a problem?

It changes the mounting method and sometimes the approval path, not the outcome. We assess it and, where the main roof is unsuitable, look at outbuildings, awnings or car-park structures.

Can solar handle the gaming floor and cool rooms overnight?

Overnight load comes from storage or the grid. We model the split so you can see exactly what the battery covers before committing to its size.

What maintenance does it need?

Annual inspection and cleaning, plus remote monitoring that alerts us to underperformance. We service what we install.
