01 · The commercial case

Why this pays for itself

01

Grid connection is the real project

Supply capacity, Ausgrid negotiation and civil works decide the timeline. That is the part we do daily.

02

Built to keep running after handover

Fault monitoring, spares strategy and response SLAs keep utilisation and revenue where the model assumed.

03

Site selection with the network in mind

We assess candidate sites for available supply before you commit to a lease.

02 · Recommended setup

What we would specify for your site

We are charger agnostic. Hardware is specified from all major AC and DC brands to suit the site, not a supply agreement.

SpecificationWhereWhy
DC 150–350 kW Highway and arterial sites Short-stop charging for through traffic.
DC 75–120 kW Town centre and car park sites Balanced cost against dwell time.
Payment, auth & listing Whole site Tap-to-pay, usage reporting, app visibility.

Indicative specification for design purposes. Confirm final scope with eProjects.

03 · Scope of works

One contractor, whole job

Most EV installers stop at the charger and call an electrician for everything else. Supply upgrades, switchboards and network coordination are our core trade.

What is involved in installing a public EV charging station?

Site and supply assessment, network connection application, civil works and cable routes, charger installation and commissioning, then payment, authentication and app listing. On high-power sites the supply work is the largest element.

How long does a public charging installation take?

Typically three to four months where DC fast charging and a network connection are involved, driven mainly by network approvals rather than the install itself.

Can we set our own charging tariff?

Yes. Pricing, session limits and idle fees are configured on the charging platform, with reporting on utilisation and revenue.

Do you handle the network connection application?

Yes. We prepare and lodge the connection application and manage the compliance process through to energisation.

Is there NSW Government funding for public EV chargers?

Yes. Round 3 of the NSW EV Kerbside Charging Grants co-funds up to $6,000 per AC port and $30,000 per DC fast charging port, and for the first time includes commercial car parks. Only charge point operators can apply, and it closes 21 December 2026 at 5 pm. We scope and install for operators and help car park owners get their site ready. See NSW EV charging grants.
